| Name: | Vergil DeLarcarat |
|---|---|
| Website: | Four Cities [RPG] |
Name: Vergil DeLarcarat. Alias: Gil. PB: Schneizel. Age: 201 years old. Apparent age: 38 years old. Place of birth: Ashmire. Place of residence: Halsteinn. Gender: Male. Height: 6'1. Eyes: Blue. Hair: Blonde. Species: Walker. Race: Armithian. Occupation: Regent. Family: Leonard DeLarcarat (father), Cyian DeLarcarat (mother). Religion: Arcanism. Education: Finished the thirty required years at the Youth Institute. He went for a few years (ten years old) Scholar's Academy for politics; so that he can better serve his city. Abilities: Second Sight. People are like white humanoid-shape figures of light. They size of a person is relatively close to how tall they actually are. The only difference that can come about to these figures is how much presence an individual has – the more presence, the brighter they shine. Objects, on the other hand, are dull blue shimmers that almost blend into the dark. Strengths: Heightened senses, talented speaker, dedication, loyal, generally helpful and wishes the best for the city. Weaknesses: Blind, cock tease, vain and rather egotistical, shameless, lack of fighting skills. Habits: When speaking to another individual, he tends to give so much personal space that they speak in partially raised tones just to carry on a proper conversation. This is because he is a Regent and rather not be stabbed when he reaches out to greet someone or during mid-sentence. Hobbies: Macking on the honeys (men and women), wandering aimlessly so that he can ask for help, pretending to be new to the city. Likes: "Easy" targets, Eden, Arcas and the Horsemen, personal space, flirting. Dislikes: Trouble in his city, liars, the Underground and all that nonsense, being told he is actually unattractive, ugly people, tripping over his own feet. | |
Gil has no real idea as he lets his servants dress him each day. He knows that he bought quite a few white suits so that if he mismatches, it will not be that obvious. He likes the material of his clothes, at the very least. Of course, he isn't as well-kept as he would like; his hair is always just a little messy, but at least his suits look all right. Honestly, even if he cannot see; that is no reason to just give up on them. | |
Generally, he is a flirt and knows it. Gil does not consider this to be a bad thing, par se. It just means that he can connect with the citizens of Halsteinn in a manner that the other Regents probably do not – which is really their loss in his opinion. He's friendly and generally likes to get along with people than naught – even if the tone that he takes seems like he doesn't care one way or the other if people like him. As far as his occupation is concerned, he wishes to keep the people and the city safe from the Underground. Honestly, he considers them to be pests – but dangerous pests that could bring harm to his honeys. While he may not have any fighting abilities, he has no issue with ordering Reapers to murder any member of the Underground found – whenever, he can actually say what happens. Enough fear instilled in the group and maybe they will realize just how silly they are being and start enjoying life. Of course, he has his own paranoia of being killed at any moment. This is why he's more of a tease than anything else, rather not be killed during sex, thank you very much. To have Arcas hear of such a failure would be devastating. Still, he'd like to say that they may kill him dead, but the moral high ground is his – killing a defenseless, blind man. | |
People generally believe that Gil was raised by a group of Erastians with how obsessed he is with sex. He would like to say that that is completely false, that his parents have always been law-abiding citizens who rather abhorred this idea of such activities. Honestly, he is actually celibate. Surprising to everyone given how much he flirts and seems like he would be willing to have sex with anything with two-legs and a pulse. His life was rather uneventful; that is he really can't note anything that was special about it in any way. Other than the fact that if he had not become a Regent, he would have tried to join the army – even a desk job would do. He feels quite loyal to Arcas and everything that the Horsemen did (do) for the cities. And finds that everyone else is just ungrateful for what they were doing. Honestly, it was nice thought that if the government was overthrown, but what would happen afterwards? Chaos. And Gil rather likes things to be in order, thank you. It means that he has less chance of tripping over his own feet should the cities start to collapse. He voiced these concerns loudly over the years, which really did not get him well liked by anyone who sympathized with the Underground. (Gil would like to say that those people who beat him up were beating on a blind man and should be ashamed of themselves.) Really. A lot of his time in the Youth Institute was nursing wounds from having popped off to people about not being true believers of Arcas. The only person he really seemed to get along with was his tutor, Eden Merrick. One of the main issues why he's still worried about his looks is after one particular beating; it is just nicer to say that his Second Sight became disoriented from it for a few months. It straightened itself out, of course, with his parents giving money to fix said injuries. However, he'd like to say that after that attack; no one bothered him. He contributed it that to Eden, who he assumed intimidated those ruffians to leave him alone. (And, yes, still quite taken with Eden – an actual friend, not a friend with benefits; truly shocking to Gil, but nice to have a "real friend" out there). The way that Gil tells always tells his boss about his religious revelation – that is that Arcas saved him after a rather brutal beating. He was like a shining light that came forth to rescue a loyal servant. Gil considered that a sign to not only get out of the city that he was in, but find a city that he could serve fully. Or so, he says. Sometimes, he can be so full of himself that it is difficult to say if this actually happened or not. At least, now that he is ruling over his own little section of a city – but still, he's keeping his political and religious ideas to himself. Though, by ruling, he means listening to what his Horseman tells him to do and slacking off whenever he's not doing what he's told. | |
All of his servants are Cyths for the sake that he does not need to worry about them hurting him. Something like that would eventually get him in trouble, he is sure. He always has a pack of cigarettes with him, but he's never actually smoking them unless someone lights them for him. Like he wants to accidentally set himself on fire – no thank you. It helps to chew on something to loosen his nerves, as he likes to give the guise of calm. Occasionally, he does enjoy travel and visiting the other cities to pick on the other Horsesmen and Regents – face-to-face. |
